Job summary

Veryable is seeking an Engineering Manager to shape the vision and execution of our mobile platform, focusing on Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will mentor a team, define roadmaps, and integrate REST APIs while aligning engineering goals with business objectives.

You will own the hiring process for Android engineers, oversee flagship apps, and occasionally contribute hands-on design and development. Stay current with Android trends and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS or related field with 3 years leading mobile engineering teams.
• Experience building Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience building backend APIs with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js; leading Android team; building CI/CD DevOps pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Own the hiring process for new mobile developers and scale the Android team.
• Lead and collaborate with engineers to drive roadmap execution and mobile app architecture.
• Oversee development of flagship mobile applications, primarily Android, and contribute hands-on when needed.
• Stay current with mobile technologies, Google/Android policy changes, and best practices.
