Job summary

Robinhood in Menlo Park, CA is seeking an Android Engineer to join the Money Experience team and help build and improve Android experiences that move money between accounts.

You will work with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and modern transfer flows, collaborating with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data teams across a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer Android applications at scale.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Jetpack.
• Desire to improve Robinhood's app and codebase for all users.
• Strong product sense and collaboration with Product Managers and Designers.
• Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Work with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale.
• Build smooth, stable, and elegant Android products using Kotlin and the latest Android APIs.
• Own features from inception to design, implementation, and launch.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data teams.
• Work with Kotlin, Android SDK & Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (preferred) or RxJava, Retrofit & Room.
