Job summary

Tinder is seeking a Software Engineer, Android to drive native Android development for the Tinder app in a hybrid Los Angeles role. You will build compelling features for millions of users, collaborate with product and design teams, and evolve the architecture with modern patterns and data-driven insights.

Required skills include native Android development, Kotlin, and MVVM/MVP patterns. You’ll contribute to shared libraries, testing, and authentication workflows while maintaining a strong brand

Qualifications

• Experience building native Android applications.
• Experience writing Kotlin code.
• Familiarity with MVP, Clean, or MVVM design patterns.
• Experience implementing repositories and factories.
• Understanding of dependency injection.
• Ability to write test scripts.
• Proficiency with Kotlin coroutines.
• Clear, solutions-oriented communication style.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of consumer-facing features in the Tinder App using the latest technologies.
• Build new in-app experiences that will reach millions of users globally.
• Coordinate with product and design teams to influence roadmap and development.
• Create and maintain internal shared frameworks and libraries.
• Shape analytics using innovative data tools for analytics and data science teams.
• Evolve Tinder’s architecture to support multiple authentication flows and account management.
