Job summary

BJAK is seeking an Android software engineer to build the native Android experience for BJAK's AI Finance Agent. You will focus on clean user flows, fast performance and reliable mobile features used by real customers.

Based remotely in Germany, you will collaborate with product and design to ship features across insurance, payments and financial services, while ensuring code quality and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Android development using Kotlin.
• Strong Android fundamentals and production app experience.
• Familiar with Jetpack, Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling production issues.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Android features using Kotlin.
• Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design to simplify user journeys.
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable and secure.
• Improve app performance, crash rate, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Use analytics, user behaviour and production issues to improve the product.
• Build AI-assisted mobile experiences where they genuinely improve the user journey.
