Edge One Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to lead native Android app development with strong Kotlin skills and hands-on accessibility implementation. You will design features, implement accessibility enhancements, and collaborate with UX/UI and QA to ensure WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance, TalkBack support, and robust focus management across screens.

The role requires 5+ years of Android experience, mastery of Jetpack Compose and Android Views, and the ability to work

Our client is an international group specializing in providing IT experts, consulting services, and talent management solutions. The company supports clients in delivering technology and transformation projects, working with thousands of specialists and hundreds of organizations across Europe. To further develop a native Android application, we are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer with very good knowledge of Kotlin and extensive hands-on experience implementing digital accessibility in mobile applications. We are looking for someone who has independently implemented and tested accessibility solutions in production Android applications.

• Developing and maintaining a native Android mobile application
• Designing and implementing new features using Kotlin
• Implementing and optimizing solutions that ensure the application's digital accessibility
• Adapting user interfaces to WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility standards
• Implementing and optimizing accessibility mechanisms, including TalkBack, focus management, and navigation
• Testing the application's accessibility and identifying and removing barriers that hinder its use
• Working with UX/UI, QA, and developer teams to ensure the application's high quality and accessibility

Требования:

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing native Android applications
• Very good practical knowledge of Kotlin
• Project experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing digital accessibility in native Android applications
• Extensive experience working with TalkBack
• Practical knowledge of Android Accessibility APIs or Compose Semantics
• Experience implementing element descriptions (Content Descriptions), roles, and states, and managing focus
• Knowledge of the principles of adapting scalable text, touch targets, and navigation to accessibility requirements
• Practical experience testing application accessibility, particularly using TalkBack
• Knowledge of digital accessibility standards, preferably WCAG 2.1/2.2
• Independence in solving technical problems and the ability to collaborate with a project team
