Muvi Entertainment in the United States is seeking an Android Developer to join a product-driven team building next-gen apps for Android platforms including TV. You will implement features from design to deployment, optimize performance, and ensure a robust mobile experience across devices.

Ideal candid ate brings 2+ years of Android and Kotlin expertise, strong REST/JSON experience, and a track record of published apps. This role supports a forever remote option and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Android development experience.
• Strong Kotlin proficiency and Android SDK knowledge.
• Experience with REST/JSON and third-party libraries.
• Published at least one Android app.
• Good debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Solid grasp of mobile lifecycle, UI design, and offline storage.
• Familiar with CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance Java/Kotlin code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases and reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Communicate with customers as required.

Android Developer

We are looking for an Android developer to join our team at Muvi. Youll be working with the latest and greatest technologies, including Android TV, and building new products from beginning to end.

Requirements

• 2+ Years of experience with Android development. Especially Kotlin.
• Experience with Android SDK.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Have published at least one/two original Android apps.
• Good debugging skills.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
