Job description

We measure our technology engineers by what they make easy for everyone else, and that's the Android Developer bar in Portland. The reward structure favors doers: $73,000 - $108,000 upfront, real technology ownership, and a Pizza Hut team pulling the same direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows using Goal Setting
• Keep Pizza Hut's Redis CI under ten minutes so Portland, ME engineers stay in flow
• Keep Pizza Hut's Goal Setting dependencies patched before the CVEs become incidents
• Backfill Express.js test coverage on the riskiest corners of Pizza Hut's codebase
• Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production
• Negotiate Laravel tradeoffs with product when Pizza Hut timelines and reality collide
• Stand up observability so Pizza Hut sees failures before customers in ME do

What You'll Bring

• A Pizza Hut mindset: scrappy today, scalable tomorrow
• Real curiosity about why Pizza Hut customers do what they do
• A collaborator's reflex to share credit and absorb blame
• The communication discipline to over-share early and trim later

Pizza Hut began as a side project in Portland and grew into the customer-obsessed platform thousands of technology users now rely on. Slack threads here stay civil because we critique the Laravel work, not the human behind it.

Picture $73,000 - $108,000 as the floor, not the ceiling, with growth coaching and a benefits package that actually flexes around your life.

Pulled forward to the top of the queue today, so your timing is good.
