Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $85.00/hr

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Android Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-performance, user-centric mobile applications. As a technical leader, you will play a key role in shaping our Android architecture, mentoring developers, and ensuring best practices are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the technical direction and design of our Android applications using modern tools and frameworks.
• Lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing features using Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, and AndroidX.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Champion the use of Dependency Injection frameworks and open-source Android libraries to improve developer velocity and code maintainability.
• Build and maintain robust automated test suites and define quality gates using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to keep the Android stack modern and efficient.
• Provide technical mentorship and code reviews to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Deep expertise in Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and AndroidX libraries.
• Proven experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and integration of Cloud Device Farms into mobile QA workflows.
• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tools and setting up quality gates (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of Android design principles, UX patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experience with open-source Android libraries and a solid grasp of community-driven development.
• Mastery of architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with Dependency Injection tools such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate across teams.
