Job summary

Speechify seeks a hands-on Team Lead to own major features end to end for its Android app and web products. You will write code, review code, and own features from concept to release, while guiding design and product teams. This is a true delivery role, not a pure manager position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Experience delivering customer-facing features end to end.
• Strong code review and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across design/product/engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, from concept to release, in collaboration with design.
• Maintain, improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide actionable feedback.
• Unblock the team when blockers arise and propagate decisions across the group.
• Shift verification left by increasing automated checks and tests.
• Reduce manual intervention in releases and improve deployment processes.
• Ensure consistency and maintainability of shared components.
• Drive improvements to team workflows without compromising delivery velocity.
