Job summary

Notion is seeking an Android engineer to advance the native Android experience, focusing on fast startup, smooth scrolling, and offline reliability across the Notion app. You will own a core part of the Android stack and collaborate with product, design, and AI engineers to ship features that help people work faster and more effectively from their phones.

You will work on Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, optimize for performance, and participate in designing the app's Home, Inbox, and writing and editing

Qualifications

• Shipped Android apps in production.
• Experience with native UI and performance.
• Strong product sense and attention to detail.
• Ability to reason with data and feedback.
• Experience with AI-enabled tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Android surfaces from render to polish, including Home, Inbox, and editor components.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to ship features and improve with data.
• Improve startup time, scrolling, input latency, crashes, and memory use across owned surfaces with tests.
