Qualifications

Job Description

The Ancillary Facilities Manager oversees the day-to-day care, maintenance, repair, and operation of Twin Farms’ employee housing and ancillary properties. This is a hands‑on facilities management role responsible for completing routine repairs and maintenance, performing carpentry and general building work, conducting property inspections, preparing housing for occupancy, and maintaining the overall condition and functionality of each property.

The Ancillary Facilities Manager is expected to independently address a wide range of general maintenance needs while recognizing when specialized work should be escalated to other Twin Farms Facilities team members or outside licensed contractors.

Working closely with Human Resources, Facilities, Housekeeping, and resort leadership, this position helps ensure Twin Farms’ ancillary properties are safe, functional, well maintained, and consistently cared for to Twin Farms standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout employee housing and ancillary properties.
Complete general carpentry work, including repairing or replacing doors, trim, molding, shelving, cabinetry, hardware, railings, stairs, flooring components, and other building finishes.
Perform minor drywall repair, patching, painting, caulking, weatherproofing, and finish work.
Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs such as faucets, fixtures, toilets, drains, leaks, and other routine plumbing concerns within the scope of the position.
Perform basic electrical maintenance such as replacing fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, and other minor components when appropriate and permitted.
Repair and adjust doors, locks, windows, screens, cabinetry, furniture, appliances, and household fixtures.
Assemble, install, repair, and maintain furnishings, shelving, storage systems, and equipment.
Conduct routine inspections of employee housing and ancillary properties to identify maintenance, safety, and building‑condition concerns.
Develop and complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce emergency repairs and extend the life of buildings, systems, furnishings, and equipment.
Diagnose maintenance issues and determine whether repairs can be completed internally or require assistance from a specialized trade or outside contractor.
Coordinate more complex repairs, specialized trades, and capital improvement work with the Facilities team and approved vendors when necessary.
Track maintenance requests and take ownership of ensuring work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate and actively participate in housing turnovers, including completing repairs, touch‑up work, fixture replacement, furniture setup, and other work necessary to prepare properties for incoming employees.
Maintain keys, locks, property inventories, furnishings, appliances, tools, maintenance materials, and household supplies.
Identify deteriorating building components and proactively recommend repair, replacement, or capital improvement projects.
Support seasonal property maintenance, including winterization, weather preparation, snow and ice‑related property needs, exterior upkeep, and seasonal reopening work.
Maintain workshops, tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in a safe and organized condition.
Maintain accurate inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, inventory, and property records.
Serve as the primary point of contact for routine maintenance and facility concerns related to employee housing and ancillary properties.
Partner with Human Resources regarding housing occupancy, move‑ins, move‑outs, property condition, and employee‑related housing needs.
Coordinate vendor access and service appointments when specialized contractors are required and verify that work has been completed appropriately.
Follow established safety procedures and immediately address or elevate conditions that could present a safety, building, or operational risk.
Support occasional urgent facilities or housing needs outside normal business hours.

Qualifications

Strong general maintenance and building‑repair experience, preferably in residential, hospitality, property management, construction, or facilities environments.
Demonstrated carpentry skills and experience using common hand and power tools.
Ability to independently complete routine repairs, installations, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
Working knowledge of residential building systems, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliances, locks, doors, windows, and general property maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify the source of a maintenance issue and determine an appropriate repair approach.
Ability to recognize work that requires a licensed trade or specialized contractor.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and manage projects from identification through completion.
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship and property condition.
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Facilities, Human Resources, Housekeeping, and other departments.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Twin Farms properties as needed.
Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and perform the physical requirements associated with facilities and maintenance work.
