Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is hiring an Assembler/Bander to set up, operate, and adjust machines for producing quality electrical and utility solutions. The role involves a range of tasks from assembling and painting to palletizing and deburring, with strict adherence to safety and production records.

The ideal candidate will meet physical requirements, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Visual inspection and basic record-keeping for production and scrap

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and adjust machines and equipment (nutting, banding, strapping, wrapping) to produce quality products
  • Perform assembly, painting, palletizing, bundling, sorting and deburring as required
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and complete required production records

Job description

Assembler/Bander will be required to set-up, operate, and to adjust machines and equipment to produce and/or to prepare for shipment a good quality product. Examples of machines and equipment are, but not limited to, nutting, banding, strapping, wrapping and other departmental equipment.

Processes performed will be, but not limited to, assembling, painting, palletizing, filing, bundling, banding, nutting, sorting, twisting, and deburring.

Operator may be required to make visual inspections, separate parts, identify, tag, count, record production, record scrap, keep required production records, and other operations as required.

Operator must have the ability to satisfactorily perform SPC as required.

Operator will be required to maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.

  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
  • Ability to walk, see and have full use of both hands.
  • Ability to perform highly repetitive work with heavy weights and degrees of vibration from the equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to above the waist and then place on timbers.
  • Ability to hold a stapling machine in one hand, position it, and staple the item.

These physical requirements are generalities and work may occasionally exceed the specified levels.
