Job summary

Kansas Health Science University is seeking Teaching Assistants for the Anatomy department to support OMSI and OMSII lab sessions. TAs will work with faculty to prepare open laboratories, model professional behavior, and assist students outside regular class times.

Responsibilities include maintaining specimen quality, supervising equipment usage, and guiding students through study techniques. OMSII students in good standing are eligible to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be an OMSII student and in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support open laboratory opportunities outside scheduled class times.
• Model professionalism with punctuality, reliability, and courteous email communication.
• Assist with equipment, learning objects, and materials for student success.
• Maintain plastinated specimens and ensure proper storage and access control.
• Review OMSI and OMSII course materials in preparation for open lab sessions.
