Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College is seeking Part-Time Faculty to teach Anatomy & Physiology for Massage Professionals in the Department of EPIC. Courses may be offered in-person, online, or via hybrid formats as opportunities arise.

TMCC emphasizes student success, diversity, and ongoing professional development; adjunct faculty are expected to teach, assess outcomes, maintain records, and stay current in the field to support learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Science, Nursing, Biological Science, or closely related field.
• LMT or Certified Personal Trainer with previous college-level teaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach Anatomy & Physiology and related courses such as Pathology or Kinesiology.
• Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with TMCC’s academic standards.
• Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes using a variety of methods.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Utilize current instructional technologies and refer students to appropriate college resources.
• Participate in orientation, workshops, and ongoing professional development activities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Science, Nursing, Biological Science, or a closely related field

Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) or Certified Personal Trainer with teaching experience

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds
