Job summary

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Anatomy to teach gross anatomy to osteopathic medical students in small group and virtual lab settings, and to participate in the College of Medicine's problem-based learning curriculum.

The successful candidate will contribute to education, research and service, and may engage in curriculum development and scholarly activity; rank and salary are determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of teaching methods and be able to explain essential functions of the job.
• Strong communications skills are essential, as well as computer literacy and accurate data entry.
• Familiarity with FERPA/HIPAA regulations and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as content expert in area of expertise.
• Serve as Problem Based Learning (PBL) facilitator.
• Provide examination questions for PBL exams in area of expertise.
• Instruct graduate students in area of expertise.
• Interview prospective candidates for the College of Medicine (COM).
• Advise/mentor assigned students and student clubs.
• Participate on committees as assigned.
• Conduct scholarly activity or research annually.
• Prepare educational tools and coordination of resources with faculty.
