Job summary

VCU College of Health Professions invites applications for a 12-month, open rank faculty position. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate in teaching and research, participate in college and university service, and contribute to leadership in the profession.

The role is based in the Deans Office AHP with a hybrid work arrangement, and the department emphasizes interprofessional education, strong research support, and opportunities for collaboration across nine departments and centers.

Qualifications

• Master's (MS) in a relevant discipline.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Virginia.
• Expertise in human anatomical instruction and curriculum development at undergrad/grad level, including traditional dissection.
• Proficiency in anatomical tools and technologies.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to complement and expand the existing expertise in the College.
• Established research agenda with potential for external funding for tenure-track candidates.

Responsibilities

• Teach gross anatomy across multiple health professions, including donor dissection and digital platforms; supervise student capstone projects.
• Engage in scholarly activities to advance the department’s knowledge base; disseminate findings and pursue grant opportunities.
• Serve on department/college/university committees and contribute professionally to the field.
