Burlington, MA — Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Assistant for the 12PM-8:30PM shift at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. The role involves receiving, labeling, processing, and transporting specimens, with emphasis on maintaining specimen integrity and following safety protocols.

Position may include weekend/holiday coverage. Minimum qualification is a high school diploma; candidates should have strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and good English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to identify and evaluate proper specimen collection and storage.
• Manual dexterity and acuity to prepare specimens and operate instrumentation.
• Ability to concentrate and work accurately under pressure.
• English language communication with physicians and colleagues.
• Experience with venipuncture and specimen handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Label and identify specimens and requisition forms.
• Process, transport and organize specimens per protocol.
• Assist phlebotomy draws and patient preparation.
• Maintain and restock supplies and equipment.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and proper waste handling.
