Job summary

Zello in Austin, TX is seeking a data analytics intern to help rebuild dashboards and enable self-serve analytics for the go-to-market teams. You will work on Omni dashboards, write SQL against Snowflake, and document your surfaces so others can use them independently.

You should be an undergraduate or graduate student able to commit about 20 hours weekly on-site through December, comfortable explaining numbers to non-technical teammates, and eager to ship tangible improvements with guidance

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and able to work about 20 hours a week on-site in Austin through early December.
• You write SQL against a real database with joins and aggregations and can debug a query that returns surprising results.
• You can explain what a number means to non-technical teammates and trace it back to its source.
• You check your own work so that handovers are error-free.
• You have completed at least one project beyond assignment and can explain what changed.
• You document what you build so others can pick up your work easily.
• You already use AI tools for real work and verify outputs.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and speed up dashboards in Omni, the BI tool.
• Build Omni topics so non-technical teammates can ask their own questions.
• Write SQL against Snowflake to pull, check, and reconcile numbers; read dbt models to trace metrics.
• Take small analyses end to end: scope the question, pull data, and present a actionable recommendation.
• Document surfaces and inventory existing reports; decide which to retire or consolidate.
• Use AI tools to move faster on routine parts and verify outputs.
• Show your work in team meetings and flag when numbers look wrong.
