The Analytics & Insights Director - Oncology Strategy serves as a strategic advisor within Genentech’s Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) teams, playing a key role in shaping oncology business decisions. This individual drives analytics and insights to inform critical planning efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess business needs, conduct cross-oncology analyses, and translate findings into strategic recommendations. By leveraging expertise in oncology market dynamics, clinical data, and health economics, this role enhances patient access and optimizes treatment pathways. The Director works flexibly within a matrix structure, sensing business priorities and reprioritizing work accordingly. Additionally, they may oversee 1–2 contributors, providing coaching and oversight to support their development. Key expertise includes data analytics, market research, forecasting, and competitive intelligence.
Analyze secondary and structured datasets to surface actionable insights that benefit the needs of the oncology business.
Conduct or guide qualitative and quantitative research with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem to assess and improve the patient experience.
Design and conduct digital analytics and performance measurement to generate insights that inform oncology strategy.
Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.
This position is based in South San Francisco, CA. Relocation Assistance is not available.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $172,620 and $320,580. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
