Job summary

Greystar is offering an Analytics Engineering Intern role within the Data, Digital, and AI group. You will own a scoped project from start to finish, collaborating with Analysts and Engineers to build data models and leverage AI-assisted development.

The 10-week summer program provides exposure to multiple Greystar teams and a chance to present your capstone project. Compensation for this position ranges from $31 to $45 per hour, with potential bonuses and onsite work at Greystar locations in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, CS, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience with SQL and Python through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Job Description Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Greystar’s Data, Digital, and AI (D²AI) organization uses data, analytics, and AI to help teams across the company make better, faster decisions. As an Analytics Engineering Intern on the Decision Intelligence team, you’ll work alongside analysts and engineers to solve a real business problem using data. You’ll own a scoped project from start to finish, gaining hands‑on experience with modern analytics tools, AI‑assisted development, and real‑world data.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with business teams to understand their goals and data needs.
• Build and validate data models using SQL, Python, and Databricks.
• Use AI coding assistants as part of your day‑to‑day workflow.
• Analyze data, identify quality issues, and develop practical solutions.
• Test, document, and improve your work based on feedback.
• Present your final project and recommendations to business and Decision Intelligence leaders.

What We’re Looking For

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience with SQL and Python through coursework, projects, or previous internships.
• Exposure to data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Interest in using AI tools to support technical and analytical work.
• Strong communication, curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership of your work.

The Summer Internship Experience:

The Greystar Summer Internship Program packs 10 weeks with real projects, real responsibility, and real connections. You'll dive straight into the action on a team like Investment, Finance, Marketing, IT, Data, Leasing, Development, or Operations—doing work that actually moves the needle, not just watching from the sidelines.

• The compensation for this position is $31-$45/hour

Additional Compensation

• Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
• Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
