Job summary

Slalom is seeking an Analytics Engineer within the Data Experience practice to bridge business needs and technical data solutions. You will design semantic layers, blend BI tools with open-source tech, and translate requirements into scalable data models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years of leading project teams and complex work streams.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python; experience with semantic layer tools and analytics platforms (e.g., dbt, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics solution design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Fluency in white boarding and design solutions for data mapping and user experience requirements.
• Exposure to or interest in AI/ML integration and modern data architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

As an Analytics Engineer in Slalom’s Data Experience (DX) practice, you will play a critical role in bridging business needs and technical solutions. You’ll work hands-on with modern data platforms and semantic layer technologies, helping to transform the way organizations access, model, and leverage their data for analytics, AI, and decision support. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, facilitate design sessions, and be a key contributor to our delivery of next-generation data solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and modernize semantic layers to enable self-service analytics, AI, and cross-platform reporting

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:

• Boston, NYC, NJ, Washington DC:
  • Senior Consultant: $116,000 – $145,000
• All other locations:
  • Senior Consultant: $106,000 – $135,000

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
