Job Summary and Qualifications

The Analytics Engineer II is part of the division ITG organization at HCA. This technically focused role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying business intelligence solutions across the enterprise. Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams, utilizing platforms like PowerBI, creating applications, supporting dashboards and reports, and maintaining data solutions.

The role requires collaboration with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Project Managers, providing leadership in reporting and BI, supporting and developing subject matter expertise, and ensuring effective report design, deployment, and maintenance. The person will develop dashboards and data models, support reporting needs, and create ad hoc and standard reports.

Needed Experience:

  • Expertise in data acquisition, cleansing, and parsing
  • Experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization
  • Experience with BI platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik, MicroStrategy)
  • SQL experience required; Teradata preferred, MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres as alternatives
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, R, JavaScript, Ruby, Scala, Clojure)
  • Knowledge of data structures and warehousing
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, TFS) preferred
  • Agile/Scrum experience preferred
  • ETL experience preferred
  • Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Occasional onsite meetings at Clearwater location; ideal candidate resides in Central Florida
