Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build the data platform, reports, and applications on Azure. You will shape the Gold/Silver tables, ensure data quality, and own end-to-end reporting for business stakeholders. The role blends data engineering, BI, and AI feature evals in a hybrid environment.

You will work with Fabric, OneLake, and various data systems, shipping from data model to front-end visualization while enforcing governance and security.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years building and shipping production software, reporting, and data pipelines.
• Hands on experience with Claude Code or similar AI tooling for production use.
• Experience building and deploying web apps on Azure services with auth and RBAC.
• Track record delivering end-to-end reporting: data modeling to front-end delivery.
• Microsoft Fabric experience (OneLake, lakehouses, notebooks) or Synapse/ADLS Gen2.
• Building Silver and Gold tables in a medallion/lakehouse design with incremental loads.
• Data quality, testing in CI and assertion frameworks (dbt tests, Great Expectations).
• Git-based CI/CD, release discipline, and environment config.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship reporting against the Gold layer from query to user interface.
• Vet financial, schedule, and safety figures behind shipped work.
• Design and build internal web applications on Azure, with hosting and roles.
• Develop and maintain MCP data servers and move to lake-first data access.
• Write evals for AI features and maintain them as they change.
• Build ingestion from systems of record via Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Create Silver and Gold tables per medallion design and document definitions.
• Own the data quality framework with validations, dedupe, and reconciliation.
• Ship through Fabric pipelines and GitHub with tests gating merges.
• Manage secrets with Azure Key Vault and adhere to PII paths.
