Job summary

Mercor seeks an Analytics Engineer to build the data infrastructure, analytics, and automations that power decision-making and operations. This high-ownership role works directly with business leaders to identify problems, define roadmaps, and deliver end-to-end solutions using SQL, dbt, Python, and AI tools.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be based in our San Francisco office five days a week, collaborating with researchers, operators, and AI partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical role.
• Strong technical fundamentals: SQL, data modeling, Python, dbt, cloud data warehouses, and BI tools (e.g., Hex, Looker).
• Exceptional autonomy: independently identify problems, define roadmaps, and deliver high-impact projects with minimal direction.
• Strong business judgment and communication: work with senior stakeholders and translate ambiguity into actionable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive your own roadmap by partnering with stakeholders and prioritizing high-impact problems.
• Build scalable data infrastructure with SQL, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Own analytics end-to-end from data models to dashboards and tools.
• Automate business workflows to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Leverage AI coding agents and tools to accelerate development and output.
