Job summary

Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the CAPTURE initiative, enabling faculty, staff, and leadership to monitor and improve performance across the clinical enterprise. Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience with dbt and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Experience with data quality testing, Git-based development, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytics-ready datasets using dbt and SQL.
• Design dimensional models and semantic data structures that support downstream analysts.
• Implement data quality testing, documentation, and governance standards.
• Explore and model data across numerous enterprise systems, gaining unique visibility into how academic, clinical, financial, research, and operational domains intersect.
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Contribute to analytics engineering standards and data platform improvements.
