Role Description

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to play a key role in building the data foundation that powers decision-making across the organization. In this role, you’ll design and maintain healthcare analytics tables in a cloud data warehouse, build scalable ETL/ELT processes, and develop Power BI dashboards that translate complex data into clear and actionable insights. This Analytics Engineer will collaborate closely with both technical and business teams to align data solutions with strategic needs, ensuring data quality, performance, and governance while drawing on strong SQL and Power BI skills, knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling, and deep experience with healthcare data.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, and is eager to shape a high-quality data environment that powers success across Crosswalk's healthcare data platform.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes for loading and transforming data.
• Design, build, and maintain analytics layer tables in data warehouse for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and usability in downstream BI tools.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and governance across all curated datasets.

Candidate Qualifications

• 5-7 years of healthcare data experience.
• Strong skills in SQL with experience designing tables and queries in AWS Redshift (or similar cloud data warehouse).
• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Strong skills in Power BI including DAX, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Ability to work with version control (Git) and follow structured development workflows.
