Who You Are
We seek an Analytics Engineer to support our marketplace's growth and innovation. You should have experience with data modeling tools like dbt, business intelligence platforms such as Omni or Looker, and automation of business processes, especially in Accounting and Finance. A curious mindset and understanding of marketplace business dynamics are essential, along with the ability to ensure transparency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness at scale. This role offers the chance to impact various aspects of our business.

Core Responsibilities

1. Develop expertise in our data model, extending and refining it as the business evolves.
2. Create trusted, intuitive data pipelines and datasets for stakeholder analysis.
3. Design clear dashboards and visualizations to facilitate decision-making and KPI tracking.
4. Identify automation opportunities for manual processes, especially in finance reporting and reconciliation.
5. Analyze transactional data to uncover efficiency and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
• 3+ years in analytics engineering, including data modeling and BI.
• Experience with a modern data stack (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Looker).
• Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Interest in marketplace businesses.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python.
• Knowledge of automating business processes in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Comfort with Git and collaborative, code-driven environments.

The estimated salary range for this role in NYC is $110,000 - $125,000, with eligibility for equity. Salary offers depend on experience, skills, and internal equity. We value diverse profiles and are open to candidates with varying experience levels.
