Job summary

ALMAG Contracting Group is seeking an Analytics Engineer in Frisco, TX, to design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure and analytics ecosystems. Hybrid work supports estimating, project management, finance, operations, and executive decision-making for reliable reporting and forecasting.

The role emphasizes building scalable pipelines, dashboards, and predictive models while ensuring data quality and governance to drive strategic insights across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in analytics engineering, BI, data engineering, software development, or a related technical role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience programming with Python.
  • Experience building dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources using APIs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.
  • Build interactive dashboards and executive reports using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Develop and optimize SQL databases, data warehouses, and data models.
  • Integrate data from accounting systems, CRM platforms, ERP software, estimating systems, project management platforms, and other business applications.
  • Develop predictive analytics models for estimating, budgeting, project performance, labor utilization, equipment tracking, scheduling, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Create company-wide KPIs, scorecards, and executive performance dashboards.
  • Automate manual reporting and repetitive business processes using Python, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
  • Design and maintain secure, scalable analytics architecture.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement through analytics and automation.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, documentation, and security best practices.
  • Support strategic planning through advanced reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence.
