Our domain verticals connect directly to core stakeholders and operational structures while aligning with internal subject-matter experts and current capacities. We support over 1.2 million lives across multiple blocks of business with industry-leading analytics.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, stakeholder-facing Analytics Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the analytics department, you will transform complex healthcare data into insightful and actionable visualizations and data products. This role operates in two capacities: augmenting and strengthening existing data products and innovating new analytic experiences that simplify data into insight.

As a Analytics Developer 2, you will work with growing autonomy owing to small initiatives end to end and supporting the development of more junior team members. This role is a strong fit for someone familiar with healthcare and medical trends within Texas.

Responsibilities Time Allocation
  • Leverage medical and pharmacy claims and Electronic Health Record (EHR) data using Snowflake SQL. (20%)
  • Support enterprise data governance initiatives by implementing data quality rules, validations, and monitoring to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of analytical datasets. (20%)
  • Design architecture, model data, and build BI dashboards and reporting solutions. (15%)
  • Run and support the end-to-end Measures integration process - securely transmitting data to third parties, receiving and validating computed measure files for completeness, accuracy, and format, and monitoring and troubleshooting the ETL workflow in coordination with internal teams and external partners. (10%)
  • Data integration and product enhancement - integrate diverse healthcare datasets using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform to deliver comprehensive insights, while enhancing existing products through automation, enforcement of technical standards, and innovative solutions. (10%)
  • Mentor junior developers through peer review and knowledge sharing and lead small analytics initiatives from requirements through delivery. (10%)
  • Handle ad hoc analytical requests - create measures and analyze trends and performance. (5%)
  • Continue personal growth and development through weekly dedicated time. (5%)
  • Provide miscellaneous team support. (5%)
Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions that support business intelligence and advanced analytics needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - business stakeholders, data engineers, and product managers - to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability across large datasets, especially in Snowflake. Support and lead initiatives on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Build and maintain data solutions in Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, performance tuning, and role-based access control.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by enforcing governance and quality standards.
  • Create and manage dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Mentor junior developers and lead small analytics initiatives end to end.
  • Build and deploy AI-powered agents that automate analytics or reporting tasks; experience with chatbot development is a strong plus.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications

No single candidate will bring every qualification below. Above all, we are looking for someone with the eagerness and ability to learn new skills and solve dynamic problems in a collaborative environment.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
  • Healthcare domain knowledge is required - familiarity with medical and/or pharmacy claims, EHR data, and healthcare and medical trends.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based SQL (Snowflake experience strongly preferred), including writing and optimizing complex queries against large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or GCP) for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
  • Experience building Power BI (or similar) dashboards with rich visuals.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other data warehouse tools, with demonstrated comfort handling large datasets.
  • Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
Ideal Candidate Demonstrates
  • Master?s degree in a related STEM, analytics, or data field.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem - the relationship between payers and providers, and how analytics enables strategic transformation and growth.
  • Experience with analytical methodologies and algorithms.
  • Experience with AD group security, row-level security, or automation.
  • Experience delivering reporting solutions to end users with AI agents.
  • Solid foundation in SDLC methodologies - Agile and Scrum.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Scripting experience with R.
