The Apple Store Online Operations team is seeking an Analytics & Business Planning Lead to join our Workforce Strategy & Analytics (WSA) group – a senior individual contributor role at the intersection of deep analytical work and strategic business planning.

In this role, you will own the analytical frameworks, financial models, and planning processes that tell the story of how Apple's largest store is performing – and where it is headed. You bring the rare ability to build rigorous, scalable data solutions and translate what they reveal into forward‑looking business strategies that influence how operational leaders plan, invest, and act.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and ongoing governance of analytical frameworks and KPI systems for ASO Operations – defining what the business measures, how it measures it, and building the data infrastructure that makes those metrics reliable, real‑time, and actionable across global teams.
• Drive analytical program delivery across WSA – translating business needs into technical requirements, aligning engineering partners to milestones that matter, and ensuring every data initiative ships with the rigor, reliability, and business context required to drive adoption and lasting impact.
• Lead deep‑dive quantitative analyses that surface the trends, anomalies, root causes, and forecasting signals that drive operational performance – translating complex findings into clear, executive‑ready narratives and data‑driven recommendations that directly influence business strategy and planning decisions.
• Own the annual and quarterly business planning cycle for ASO Operations – including headcount planning, capacity modeling, and operational forecasting – building and maintaining the financial models that enable leaders to scenario‑plan with confidence and make resource decisions grounded in rigorous analytical thinking.
• Serve as the primary analytical partner to operations leadership – partnering to define goals, pressure‑test assumptions, monitor performance against plan, and proactively surface risks and opportunities before they become issues, with data‑backed context and clear recommendations in every interaction.
• Define data and analytical requirements and partner with Data Engineering to develop and maintain the models, pipelines, and reporting infrastructure that underpin the team's analytical capabilities – ensuring solutions are built to scale, structured for self‑serve access, and trusted across the organization as a single source of truth.

• Deep business acumen with the ability to rapidly understand operational workflows, workforce economics, and performance drivers – and apply that context to build analyses and planning models that are not just technically correct, but strategically meaningful to the business.
