Job summary

VARITE is seeking an Analytical Technologist to join our client’s lab at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE. This onsite role supports R&D, TS&D, and manufacturing through analytical instrumentation, sample prep, and data collection.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and experience with lab instrumentation, strong data quality, and teamwork. Contract duration is 6 months with possible extension, and pay ranges from $32.00/hr to $35.91/hr on W2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
• Experience handling chemicals in a lab.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and SOPs.
• Strong data quality and record-keeping.
• Safety-conscious with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, reagents, and standards per SOPs.
• Perform XRD data acquisition and assess data quality.
• Perform X-ray tomography data acquisition and assess data quality.
• Operate electron microscopy and assess data quality.
• Acquire particle characterization and energetics data and related measurements.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab instrumentation; dispose waste per procedures.
• Maintain lab organization and support general operations.
• Communicate results promptly with staff and work within a team.
