On-Board Services in Wilmington, DE is hiring an Analytical Technologist responsible for analytical support to R&D, TS&D, and Manufacturing. The role involves operating analytical instrumentation, preparing samples, collecting high-quality data, and maintaining safe, efficient lab operations.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a science, experience with lab instrumentation, and strong attention to detail. This 5-month contract offers benefits and opportunities contingent on performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related science or equivalent lab experience.
Experience handling chemicals and preparing samples in a laboratory.
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and SOPs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality data.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
Effective communication and teamwork.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare samples, reagents, and standards per SOPs.
Acquire XRD data and assess data quality.
Acquire X-ray tomography data and assess data quality.
Operate electron microscopy and assess data quality.
Acquire particle characterization data (size, density, contact angle, surface tension, area).
Maintain routine laboratory operations and instrument upkeep.
Dispose of laboratory waste per safety procedures.
Keep work areas clean and stocked; support general lab operations.
Communicate analytical results and issues to technical staff.
Work effectively in a team and manage changing priorities.
