Job summary

Prolific Machines seeks a Scientist I to quantify and characterize broad classes of therapeutic proteins. You will collaborate with R&D and Bioprocess teams to produce and purify diverse proteins from cell culture and perform comprehensive quality assessments.

The role requires PhD in analytical sciences with MS experience, GLP method development, and ability to work with internal/external clients to deliver project excellence.

Qualifications

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 1+ year of biologics industry experience preferred.
• Strong experience in therapeutic protein characterization approaches (HPLC, SDS, CE, cIEF, LC-MS).
• Experience with intact mass, sequence confirmation, PTM analysis by MS required.
• Experience with aggregation and charge variant characterizations for biologics.
• Development and execution of GLP-compliant methods for protein quality attributes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cell line development and bioprocess teams for internal/external projects.
• Develop, optimize, and validate assays for protein titer and quality for recombinant therapeutic proteins.
• Plan and execute experiments to understand protein quality through production processes.
• Execute, summarize, and present protein characterizations.
• Qualify and validate analytical procedures per standards; maintain documentation.
