Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Analytical R&D team in Chesterfield, MO. The role focuses on applying analytical methods to assess product quality, detect impurities, and characterize biotherapeutics and vaccines.

Responsibilities include developing and troubleshooting analytical assays (colorimetric, HPLC, electrophoresis), documenting results, and working within GMP-like environments. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related field
• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity.
• Desirable: Laboratory experience in analytical techniques; Knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices.

Responsibilities

• Developing, troubleshooting, and utilizing analytical methodologies to support process development of biotherapeutics, vaccines and oligonucleotides.
• Proficient in colorimetric, HPLC, and electrophoresis assays.
• Record, archive, and report data in accordance with guidelines; interact with peers and leaders in a multi-disciplinary team.
