Kelly Science & Clinical seeks an Analytical Quality Control Scientist for a contract-to-hire position in Petaluma, CA. The role involves performing analytical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products in a GMP-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least five years of industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience performing GMP laboratory testing and maintaining compliant documentation.
• Hands-on proficiency with spectrophotometry, pH testing, and physical measurements using calipers.
• Experience supporting or authoring Nonconformance Reports and investigations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical and physical testing of in-process materials and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, pH meters, and calipers.
• Coordinate the receipt, identification, handling, and testing of laboratory samples.
• Review samples and test materials for appropriate identification, condition, and traceability.
• Write and support Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and related investigations.
• Participate in root-cause analysis, impact assessments, and corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
