Connectly Recruiting seeks an experienced QC Laboratory Lead to oversee a high-visibility chemistry lab supporting a 24/7 operation in Mount Pleasant, SC. You will direct analytical testing, ensure data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across methods and CAPA activities.

The role requires 5+ years in analytical labs, hands-on instrumentation expertise, and a strong track record with ISO 9001 and ERP/LIMS systems.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry with 5+ years in analytical/quality control labs.
• 3+ years of proven laboratory leadership and continuous improvement skills.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and testing methods.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience with LIMS and ERP systems such as JD Edwards (Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop QC laboratory team; manage daily operations.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing by prioritizing workflow and resources.
• Perform and interpret analytical testing using HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer, NMR, and other instrumentation.
• Oversee organic analytical and wet chemistry testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Review analytical data, authorize product releases, and maintain data integrity in ERP/LIMS.
• Lead root cause investigations, CAPA, method improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, methods, specifications, and ISO/QMS compliance.
• Manage laboratory resources, instrumentation, and training to support production goals.
