Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions’ HPAPI Research and Manufacturing facility in Riverview, Michigan seeks a Quality Control Chemist to provide analytical chemistry support for the facility. The role requires adherence to regulatory requirements and strong attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring compliance and timely testing across raw materials, intermediates, and products.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and may have up to 1 year of pharmaceutical QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required.
• 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical quality control or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with analytical testing and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations by testing raw materials and starting materials to meet production timelines.
• Perform cleaning verifications on multi-use equipment using approved methods.
• Test reference standards and stability samples.
• Document sample preparation, equipment setup, and test results; verify data with a second quality team member and maintain records for compliance.
• Test intermediates and final products to meet production timelines/client requirements.
• Assist in revision of documentation as required.
• Participate in quality unit projects including supplier certification, methods development/validation, and training.
• Provide support in maintenance and calibration of laboratory analytical instrumentation.
• Assist in maintaining the QC laboratory housekeeping and organization.
• Perform routine testing on the water system and prepare reports.
