We are seeking an Analytical Operations Scientist to join a Bioanalysis–Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetics (BA-DMPK) team supporting critical laboratory reagents used in non-clinical and clinical drug studies.
This is a hands‑on laboratory role with approximately 60–70% of the time spent in the lab and 20% focused on documentation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline and 0–3 years of relevant experience. More experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, label, organize, store, and track laboratory reagents, matrices, and reference standards.
- Manage reagent inventory, expiration dates, storage locations, quantities, and usage.
- Monitor and resolve inventory and tracking discrepancies, including off‑site reagent storage.
- Perform analytical characterization of critical reagents using LC-MS and/or analytical size exclusion chromatography (aSEC).
- Determine reagent concentrations and review analytical results.
- Document laboratory testing, results, and supporting information in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Coordinate pipette and balance calibration activities.
- Support equipment maintenance, freezer management, and laboratory organization.
- Perform routine laboratory safety inspections.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation using Microsoft Office.
- Present findings and communicate scientific conclusions during team meetings.
- Collaborate with Bioanalysis, DMPK, and other cross‑functional laboratory teams.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations, SOPs, and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; senior‑level candidates are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience with LC-MS and/or analytical size exclusion chromatography (aSEC).
- Strong planning, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn electronic laboratory and data management systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross‑functional laboratory environment.
