Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in chemistry or related discipline with 2 years of college chemistry and analytical laboratory experience.
• OR 6+ years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered.
• Must meet DOE O 426.2A requirements: High School diploma or alternative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of samples via various methodologies to identify and/or confirm sample quality and/or variation.
• Perform laboratory tests and assist in the analysis of samples.
• Verify calibration, operate, maintain and assist in troubleshooting instrumentation and equipment in the laboratory.
• Collect, reduce and evaluate data.
• Enter data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Prepare various reports and assist in procedural development and modification.
• Assist in analyzing and evaluating technical problems, in developing experimental outlines and in scheduling analyses.
• Help prepare reagents, standards and stock chemicals as needed.
• Perform routine housekeeping jobs to support overall cleanliness of the laboratory.
