Job summary

NAMSA is seeking a senior leader to direct a fast-paced analytical laboratory focused on method development, validation, and routine analyses. The role oversees staff, quality systems, and budget, ensuring on-time studies and meeting client expectations in a multi-million-dollar operation.

Ideal candidates will have 8–10 years of related experience, including 5 years in supervision, and hold a chemistry degree (Masters/PhD preferred). English fluency is required for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline; Masters or PhD preferred.
• Requires 8-10 years of related work experience including 5 years supervisory experience.
• Fluency in English and local language, if different, required.
• Serves as a technical resource for laboratory personnel to aid in data interpretation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and coordinates the operational activities of a fast-paced analytical laboratory with method development/validation projects and routine SOP/compendia driven analyses.
• Has personnel, quality and performance responsibility for department with annual sales over $3 million.
• Maintains qualified staff by recruiting, selecting, training, and mentoring Associates.
• Confirms quality systems are applied in the performance and documentation of laboratory studies.
• Meets client's expectations for timeliness of laboratory studies as measured by on-time percentage.
