Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited in Morristown, NJ seeks a student intern to support Analytical Development with method development, stability testing, and validation.

You will participate in experiment design, data generation, and result interpretation, while performing hands-on lab work on APIs, excipients, and various dosage forms. A chemistry major pursuing a science degree is preferred, with a proactive attitude and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Rising junior or senior standing.
  • Strong computer and digital skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Chemistry major.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support Analytical Development Scientists with method development, stability testing, and method validation activities.
  • Participate in the design and execution of experiments, data generation, and interpretation of results.
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory work and analytical development activities.
  • Develop and perform assay, related compounds, and dissolution testing of APIs and excipients to characterize materials.
  • Develop and conduct testing methods for solid dosage forms, liquids, topicals, and gummies.
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results for presentation within Analytical Development and cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage literature reviews and chromatography modeling to support method development.
  • Design and execute stability studies to support formulation decisions.
  • Interact with Formulation Development, Analytical Development, Site Operations, and Packaging teams to support objectives.

  • Support Analytical Development Scientists with method development, stability testing, and method validation activities
  • Participate in the design and execution of experiments, data generation, and interpretation of results
  • Conduct hands‑on laboratory work and analytical development activities
  • Develop and perform assay, related compounds, and dissolution testing of APIs and excipients to characterize materials
  • Develop and conduct testing methods for a variety of formulations, including solid dosage forms, liquids, topicals, and gummies
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results for presentation within Analytical Development and cross-functional teams
  • Leverage literature reviews, existing monographs, and chromatography modeling programs to support efficient method development
  • Design and execute experimental stability studies to support formulation decision‑making
  • Interact regularly with members of the Formulation Development, Analytical Development, Site Operations, and Packaging teams to support project objectives

Benefits and Compensation
  • Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of approximately between $22.75 to $47.75.
  • Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
  • Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. (if relevant).
