Job summary

Mars, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to support chemical analyses for scientific research and quality testing at the Quality Innovation Center (TNT). The role requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related fields and 2+ years of analytical experience in the food/pharmaceutical industry.

You will handle instrument operation such as ICP, HPLC, GC, MS, and participate in ISO 17025 quality systems. Join a diverse team focused on accurate results, timely reporting, and continuous learning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or natural/food sciences with emphasis in Analytical chemistry.
2+ years of experience with chemical and physical analyses in food or related industries; advanced education may partially substitute.

Responsibilities

Deliver accurate analytical results in a timely manner.
Carry out routine analyses following documented methods.
Monitor regional laboratory needs regularly.
Operate, manage and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
Document analytical results in ELN and/or LIMS.
Adhere to ISO 17025 and Mars Global Laboratory Quality Management System.
Apply analytical instrumentation to support nutritional testing across products.
Utilize instrumentation including ICP, ICP-MS, Leco, Fat Extractors, Auto Titraters, TGA, HPLC, GC, Mass Spec and related wet chemistry tests.
Perform sample prep, cleanup, separation and assay.
