Job summary

AmSpec Group in Savannah, GA is seeking a laboratory technician to perform tests on samples for quantitative analysis, quality control, and process control, and to maintain laboratory equipment and general lab upkeep.

You will review work orders, perform analyses according to standards, document results neatly, assist new hires with proper testing methods, and prepare analytical reports while supporting safety and QA processes in a lab environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in an associated field required.
• Advanced computer, mathematics and science skills essential.
• Ability to grasp new procedures and work independently after training.
• Effective communication with colleagues and management, and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, reviewing and understanding work orders for all received samples.
• Performing required analysis according to customer and industry standards and requirements.
• Documentation of each test result neatly and accurately.
• Assisting new hire lab technicians with correct methodology for analytical testing and reporting.
• Preparation of corresponding analytical reports.
• Performing quality assurance/quality control testing and assisting with control charts.
• Maintaining laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Safety Sensitive position that requires pre-employment, random and annual drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana testing).
