Job summary

Aurolife, part of the Acrotech Biopharma Inc. family, seeks a Chemist B to perform routine analyses for instrumentation and wet lab work while maintaining GLP in the laboratory.

The role requires a minimum of a BS in a scientific field with 3–5 years in pharmaceuticals and 2–4 years in analytical testing; experience with GMP/QA practices is preferred. Based in Durham, NC, and reporting to a supervisor, you will handle multiple instruments and documentation tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in a scientific field.
• BS with Chemistry preferable.
• 3–5 years of pharmaceutical experience with 2–4 years in analytical testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, physical and chemical tests on raw materials, APIs, in-process and finished products using wet chemistry and instrumental methods per USP/monograph or in-house methods.
• Plan and maintain inventory of test reagents and solutions; ensure supplies are available to perform work.
• Plan and execute testing to meet established timelines; perform complex testing with supervision.
• Record data and results per documentation procedures; ensure accuracy of tests.
• Prepare and/or review test procedures, SOPs, and protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments with supervision.
• Troubleshoot investigations under supervisor direction.
• Comply with regulatory and internal requirements (safety, cGMP, cGLP, waste).
• Review analytical documents as required.
