Job summary
The Doe Run Company in Viburnum, MO is seeking an Analytical Chemist to support our Quentin J Schmidt Lab with reliable analytical results and sound laboratory practices. You will work with technicians to run samples using defined methods and ensure data quality.
Required is a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field, at least 1 year in a lab, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with Excel, databases, and ERP (PeopleSoft) is expected, along with a commitment to safety and continuous
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Basic knowledge of analytical lab analysis best practices and processes.
- Familiarity with lab instruments and data systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical results for samples using defined methods.
- Support calibration, instrument performance, and process optimization.
- Develop methods and improve laboratory procedures.
- Follow EHS policies and maintain safe, compliant operations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
