Job summary

inSync Staffing in San Diego, CA is seeking an Analytical Chemistry Scientist II to join the Analytical Method Development and Transfer Group. You will develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods supporting oligonucleotide synthesis and release testing.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, regulatory awareness (FDA cGMP, ICH, USP), and hands-on laboratory execution to ensure high-quality data across programs.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in analytical method development, qualification, validation and transfer.
• Proficient with HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fischer and NMR.
• Experience in analytical characterization and testing of oligonucleotides.
• Strong collaboration and communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, validate and transfer analytical methods for oligonucleotides, raw materials, and reagent consumables.
• Design, plan and execute various laboratory experiments with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize multiple assignments and deliver high-quality results within established project timelines.
• Analyze data analysis, interpret results, and troubleshoot unexpected analytical outcomes.
• Prepare study protocols and reports, and assay work instructions with attention to details.
• Ensure GMP, GDP compliance and quality standards.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and continuous-improvement-focused team culture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.
