Planet Pharma in San Diego, CA is seeking an Analytical Chemistry Scientist II within the Analytical Method Development and Transfer Group to develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for oligonucleotides, raw materials, and reagents.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, applying HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, and NMR to generate high-quality data while upholding GMP, GDP and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in analytical method development, qualification, validation and transfer.
• Proficient with analytical techniques including HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fischer, and NMR.
• Experience in analytical characterization and testing of oligonucleotides.
• Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and good documentation practices.
• GMP/GDP knowledge and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, validate and transfer analytical methods for oligonucleotides, raw materials, and reagents.
• Plan and execute laboratory experiments with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize multiple assignments and meet project timelines.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and troubleshoot analytical outcomes.
• Prepare study protocols and reports with detailed work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP and quality standards.
• Contribute to a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.
