Our client, a leading semiconductor materials and chemical manufacturing organization is seeking a Analytical Chemist II to join their team. As a Analytical Chemist II, you will be part of the Laboratory/Analytical team supporting production testing and quality-focused analytical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and quality, the ability to troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, and a detail-oriented approach to data integrity and documentation which will align successfully in the organization.
What's the Job?
- Operate and maintain analytical testing equipment to run chemical and physical analyses that support product quality and production testing needs.
- Process samples, review results, and manage laboratory documentation to ensure completion, conformity, traceability, and validity of analytical data.
- Troubleshoot instruments and resolve hardware or software issues to keep testing on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain instrumentation, tools, chemicals, and consumables required for product testing, including proper storage and disposal of samples and chemicals.
- Collaborate across teams as an analytical subject matter expert, support continuous improvement initiatives, and train others on laboratory tasks when needed.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology).
- 2+ years of experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining analytical instrumentation (LC, LC-MS, IC, IC-MS, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES).
- Experience with trace metals and cleanroom work strongly preferred.
- Strong safe handling and disposal practices for chemicals, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office); LIMS experience preferred.
