Job summary

Natural Alternatives International, Inc. seeks an analytical chemist to perform routine testing of materials, in-process bulk, finished products, and stability samples. The role involves HPLC, HPTLC, ICPMS, UV, FTIR, Karl Fischer and pH testing, with a focus on accurate data and timely reporting.

You will prepare samples, maintain records, operate lab equipment, and support cGMP/cGLP compliance while working with quality-focused colleagues in a controlled environment in Vista, CA.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Chemistry or related science.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in an analytical lab.
• HPTLC, HPLC and ICPMS experience with Camag, Empower and MassHunter.
• Excellent computer skills with Word/Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.
• Knowledge of cGMP/cGLP and safe lab practices.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; quick to learn new methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process bulk, finished products and stability samples using various analytical methods.
• Conduct analytical (HPLC, HPTLC, ICPMS, UV, FTIR, Karl Fischer, pH, titrations, USP monographs) and physical testing.
• Prepare samples, standards and reagents; maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and instruments; troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies; ensure storage and shelf life compliance.
• Communicate testing status to management and coordinators; ensure timely reporting.
• Assist in QC management and ensure adherence to cGMP/cGLP guidelines.
