Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Chemistry Analyst to support chemistry operations across generating facilities and laboratories. You will work with analytical instrumentation, water treatment chemistry, and QA/QC programs to improve reliability and reduce costs.

The role involves data handling, instrument calibration, reporting, and collaboration with internal teams in a hybrid work model (onsite three days per week). Deadline to apply 10/22/26.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in chemistry, engineering, applied science, or related fields required; 4 years of related work experience; substitutions allowed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemistry analysis per procedures and QA/QC protocols; prepare samples and reagents; maintain records and reports.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation; support measurement systems and data interpretation.
• Trains personnel; participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review process parameters for control limit compliance and direct corrective actions as needed.
• Design and develop chemistry procedures to ensure asset availability and reliability; assist with budgeting.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers to ensure compliance and optimize processes.
